The federal government can do more in preventing drug cartels and human smugglers from crossing the border. We must secure our borders in order to protect our state from individuals entering illegally and with a criminal purpose. Currently, Arizonans send a large number of dollars to the federal government to do this job. This effort has been ineffective. I will fight to employ Arizonans to do the job and keep the money in the state.
